Payers & Providers

Payers and providers across the country are beginning to choose non-medical home care as the preferred option upon discharge from hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, and HomeHero is the nation's leader in this transformational movement.

Opportunity to Payers

As healthcare costs continue to increase, care delivery innovation is needed now more than ever in order to reduce high-cost utilization. The ideal solution is a low-cost care coordination service that successfully blends technology with quality touch-points in the home. Non-medical home care can serve as that foundational asset that efficiently extends a high-touch, technology-enabled service into high-cost populations.

Compare post-acute options

Hospital Skilled Nursing Home Health Home Care
$3,000/day $500/day $3,900/episode $22/hour

Lowest Cost

The lowest-cost care delivery is non-medical home care, a critical service in the continuum of care.

Default Option

While skilled nursing and home health still provide value, home care should be the first line of defense.

Top of License

Majority of care required for the aging population is related to ADLs and IADLs, not medical services.

Home care extends the high-touch care experience into the home in a cost-effective manner.

Opportunity to Providers

Reimbursement trends continue to shift toward bundled payments, and recent policy changes have mandated that health systems participate in Alternative Payment Model programs.

For health systems that are efficiently managing care, these programs provide new revenue and cost savings opportunities, as well as penalties for those that are not.

To succeed under these reimbursement methodologies, health systems will require better access to information outside the four walls of the hospital.

HomeHero helps extend the high-touch care experience deep into the home in the most cost-effective manner possible.

HomeHero is committed to protecting the privacy of our enterprise clients and personal health information (PHI) of our patients, which is why we take extra steps to comply with HIPAA regulations.

HomeHero can be engaged as a "business associate" to help hospitals, health plans or any other covered entity carry out specific home care activities and functions.

Secure PHI

We take precautionary measures to protect personal health information (PHI) and support HIPAA compliance with our admin tools and reporting infrastructure.

We demonstrate compliance by giving roles-based training to our Security Officer and Care Managers.
